Compulsive overeating is very serious and has an

impact on both physical and mental health.

Compulsive overeating can lead to severe medical problems including high cholesterol, diabetes, heart disease, obesity and depression.

Compulsive overeating disorder may cause a person to continue to eat even after she becomes uncomfortably full.

 

 

Common compulsive overeating warning signs:

• Eating large amounts when not actually hungry
• Eating so quickly that the food is bolted down.
• Eating so much that you feel uncomfortable.
• Secret eating.
• Feelings of depression, disgust, or guilt after eating.
• A history of weight fluctuations.

Compulsive eating may seem self-destructive, but it is always an attempt at self-help using food as a medicine for psychological reasons.

In some cases diets have been known to cause compulsive eating.

Significant change comes only from self-acceptance, never from self-contempt, hypnosis is wonderful for helping with these problems
